Located
just off of International Drive, there is no other place
on earth like Sea World. Where else can you touch and feed
dolphins, come face to face with a killer whale or get close
enough to count the teeth on a shark.
There
are 3 great shows to watch seated in large stadiums offering
some shade from the day’s sunshine. In Shamu®
Stadium you will see killer whales and their trainers perform
some spectacular stunts whilst teaching you about these
majestic creatures.
In
the dolphin stadium the graceful dolphins perform tricks
whilst their trainers inform the audience about the dangers
faced by dolphins in the wild and about current research.
Less
spectacular but very funny is the sea lion and otter show.
Sea lions Clyde and Seamore and their friends the otter
and Walrus put on a hilarious 25 minute show. Don’t
miss it.
There
are lots more exhibits featuring lots more creatures. In
the Wild Arctic you will encounter polar bears. Then take
a simulator ride and you will believe you are in a helicopter
on a journey over the Arctic wilderness.
Penguins,
manatees, sharks and stingrays are just a few more of the
creatures you can get very close to.
If
you think these animals are wild the rides are even wilder.
Journey to Atlantis is a 10-storey high water coaster, a
combination of a high-speed water ride and a runaway roller
coaster. A great thrill sure to get you extremely wet.
The
second of Sea World’s thrill rides is Kraken, a real
white-knuckle ride. It reaches speeds of 65mph, is 151ft
high with 7 high-speed loops and it dives underground in
3 places.
Of
all the rides in central Florida this has to be our favourite.
